A panel method using distributed vortex and source panels is used to model the flow around an inlet. The downfield flow is modeled by vortex sheets extending to downstream infinity. Only one specific inlet geometry, composed of various ellipse arcs is available. A boundary layer analysis procedure is also incorporated in the program.
Velocity vectors (rotated by 90 degrees) and some streamlines are shown.

Boundary layer analysis of the viscous flow effects on the central cowling

The program is freely available for download. Unpack inlet.zip somewhere on a Windows 3.1 or later system.
