My interests are in the area of Geophysical Fluid Dynamics, the study of fluids such as air and water on planets such as our own. My thesis research dealt with the interaction of coherent vortices such as those seen in the ocean. My current research deals with Lagrangian data assimilation and mixing of passive tracers in geophysically relevent flows.
